St. Bernards Medical Center has been the trusted provider of compassionate and comprehensive health care in Northeast Arkansas for more than a century.
As the largest employer in the region, St. Bernards understands that employees are at the heart of the medicine it provides and it consistently shows its appreciation with a number of fun and creative events.
Hospital Week includes daily events like Shaved Ice Day, free breakfasts, an employee barbecue, the Auxiliary Tea with home-baked goods and punch, daily giveaways and T-Shirt Day all week.
St. Bernards also holds a photo scavenger hunt for staff to win prizes.
In the fall of 2021, the hospital hosted A-State Movie Night for employees in which they and their families enjoyed a free movie with popcorn and drinks on the Arkansas State football field. There was trick or treating for the kids before the movie.
A food festival allowed staff to enjoy their choice of options from four local food truck vendors and two dessert vendors. Staff were randomly picked to try out the Money Machine to win “Bernie Bucks” to redeem at the gift shop or cafeteria.
